G&S Stainless Services Limited have an exciting new opportunity for an apprentice Welder Fabricator to join our expanding team. Job overview The position is a modern apprenticeship leading to becoming a qualified Welder/Fabricator.
It is anticipated that the apprenticeship will last approximately 4 years. The successful individual will work closely alongside the Welding/Fabrication team in order to manufacture components for various industries using a range of welding equipment to include MIG and TIG. Our strong aim would be to offer the person a permanent contract at the end of the apprenticeship, but this is not guaranteed.
What will I learn? Main duties are to:
1. Learn how to work safely at all times whilst operate welding and fabrication equipment.
2. Completion of college qualifications on day release with the apprentice being responsible for their own transport to the college. The same high standards are expected in college as in work.
3. Undertaking all assigned tasks in the workshop. A structured programme will be prepared aimed at providing general experience in all aspects of our Fabrication/Welding shop.
4. The apprenticeship is 4 years total.
